T.P. Lanzarotto

Tryston P. Lanzarotto is a nerd by nature and a writer by trade. Growing up on popular fantasy series’ such as Harry Potter, The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, andWorld of Warcraft, and has read well over 160 Star Wars novels, all of which have provided a great deal of inspiration for his world building and storytelling.

With a father who read often, and loved to read Star Wars novels in particular, Lanzarotto was inherently exposed to the realm of storytelling quite early on, and became an avid reader by the age of 9. He had wonderful English teachers in high school who shaped his perspective on writing, ultimately influencing him to earn a Masters degree in the field. He also surrounded himself with friends who loved to read, which he believes make an impact on how a person evolves into adulthood.

Six years after completing high school, Lanzarotto finished his Bachelors degree in Creative Writing, and then two years later, in 2023, he completed his MFA in Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University. In 2026, he plans to return to university to pursue a second graduate degree – an MLIS, or Masters in Library Science. Along with the dream of becoming a NYT Best Selling Author, he hopes to soon become a librarian of a college library or local public library.

Lanzarotto lives in Southern California near his partner, who is also an English Language Arts teacher and devoted reader and educator.

A note on Lanzarotto’s pronouns: He goes by both he/him and they/them. He/him seems to be more commonly understood by most people around him, and is not at all offensive to him, but he prefers they/them, especially among immediate friends and family. Lanzarotto does not feel attached to any single gender, and feels it appropriate to be referred to by they/them. His pronouns may appear as he/they on social media.
